I’m Sharon Parker, a freelance graphic designer living in Wanaka, Te Waipounamu, Aotearoa.
I came to graphic design from an art background having studied Fine Art at Ilam Art School at the University of Canterbury where I majored in film in the dawning days of digital.
My knowledge of graphic design was honed while owning and operating Wanaka Signs, a busy signwriting business where our clients ranged from a multitude of tradespeople, real estate agencies and boutique business owners to ski fields and a variety of tourist operators, big and small. From my work in signs I gained a strong understanding of effective brand identity and in that fast paced industry, I developed the ability to operate in a highly efficient manner which begins with gaining a quick understanding of each clients vision and the specific requirements of their individual business.
I enjoy the flexibility that freelance graphic design offers, allowing me to work in a direct one on one manner with my customers. Clear communication is essential and I will always make sure there is clear understanding of what is required and expected before embarking on a customers brief.
